You will participate in a hands-on lab of curricular software for students with significant disabilities. You will have the opportunity to explore a variety of specialized tools and manipulate the features in each. Do you best to think of practical applications that could be used with some of your students. Think outside the box. Explore switch settings, scanning options, data collection, and individual user profiles.
Use this as a time to apply the tools to your students for your Final project.
1. Crick Software - Clicker 7
Step A: Watch the Introduction to Clicker 7 webinar to get the basics of using Clicker 7. Clicker 7 can be a very flexible tool if you know all the different types of activities that can be created. This gives a good overview of all the features of the software.
Step B: Use these videos to learn some quick editing tips.
This page has various 90 second videos to help begin getting started with Clicker 7. It is nice to use alongside the 4 page getting started document above.
Have Erin log you in so you can try all of the available activities.
OPTION - Sign up for a free user account. A Free user account allows a parent/teacher to register to and play a selection of ten of the games and activities for free with one child/learner at any given time.
βIn order to promote and encourage the appropriate use of our electronic books we are now offering free subscriptions, perhaps just for a limited time, to assistive technology professionals residing in the United States. We want you to be able to show students and teachers how they can benefit by having a subscription to the Accessible Book Collection.β
We would request that your students who get exposure to News-2-You fill out a brief survey with their feedback at the end of their access. Their feedback would mean so much to us.
Please let me know if you have any questions or need support with the subscription. We have a complete online support center with knowledge articles and webinars + more that you can access 24/7. Simply click Support from the main menu of our website: n2y.com
